Tom’s Seed2Shade Nursery is an Inland Northwest native plant gardener’s dream come true.  All of the plants I have purchased from him (directly and through my landscaper) arrived in very healthy condition and his inventory is perfectly suited to our climate. That would be reason enough to buy plants from Tom, but there is more!

Seed2Shade delivers for a modest fee and you can discuss your terrain and what kind of plants will do best given the conditions you face.  Native plant gardening in the Inland Northwest is not for the faint of heart, but you will find that you have a capable ally and supplier in Seed2Shade.  We are very lucky to have such an awesome and knowledgable local native plant nursery!

Tom and I embarked on a three year conversion of lawn to native grasses and wildflowers. He is an excellent source of reasonable do-able suggestions. He is flexible in terms of recommendations and ideas. He checks back regularly to see how this long project is coming along. He has a scientist's approach in terms of willingness to experiment, and an artist's eye in terms of thinking about a pleasing landscape. He is easy to work with, and incredibly knowledgeable.
